Ambiguous Adjustments.

Jeff Buckley - Forget Her

Let me hold you for the last time, it’s the last chance to feel again.

What about twothousandnine?

2009 is going to be a real tough year. Persevere.

The time is now.
To change.
The mood. And the matter.
Let’s run.

Pretty cool tagline aye? CRU A is a digital magazine about arts and culture. Words, Photography, Illustration, Painting, Arquitecture, Music, Fashion, etc. I love looking through this mag, probably one of the better ones that i’ve came across online.

Many regard fine arts as a kind of therapy, pretty much how i felt when i headed down to the Singapore Arts Museum a few hours ago. Inspiring, it totally feels like a different space/place as compared to what i always see/hear/touch/feel. I’d probably head down whenever there’s a chance or whenever there are new exhibits that are interesting to go down for.

I just want to be somewhere faraway now.

Broken Strings, 2009.

Did this quick one just purely for fun! 2008 passed by real fast, it’s a memorable year for me, lots of important things happened, and lotsa fun had. Cheers to the new people that came into my life, and cheers to the good things that’s gonna happen ahead. Happy new year! :D

James Morrison feat. Nelly Furtado - Broken Strings

P.S I’m really addicted to this song, love it.

The Carbon Atlas + Infographic

The Carbon Atlas by Guardian.com

Was just browsing through sites and found this pretty simple and cool infographic done in flash. Will need to research more as i will have to do quite alot of static infographics after my nsf colleague/senior in pioneer finish his service.

2009 Pioneer Attendance Cover Leaflet

Created this cover for pioneer’s 2009 attendance book. There were no boundaries, no rules, so i just played around and experimented, pretty much inspired by Scott Hansen and Tyler Stout. Click on the image for a bigger version. :)

Pretty much dead for the past week or 2 as i’ve been going down e to TTSH(Tan Tock Seng Hospital) everyday after work. My grandmother is down with dementia and depression. It recently got worse(refused medication for 3 days), hence my parents decided to check her in for the doctors to monitor her and her medication. I wonder where is this going.

I guess i should sleep soon, good night.

Rexona

Rexona

Cool TV commercial for Rexona! Watch it! :D

Anyway, i’ve been researching for this project that requires a fluid layout in flash, i found a link which gives a pretty good explanation on it. Just for your info, it’s in actionscript 2.0.

Quentin Shih

Check out Quentin Shih’s photography portfolio, it’s insane!

Why should I stay? I’d be crazy not to follow - Weird Fishes/Arpeggi

Radiohead - Weird Fishes/Arpeggi

Slightly more of Radiohead, Sarah Blasko, The Smiths and Adam Pascal & Larry Edoff nowadays.

non-existence

Been dead-sick for the past 3 days, still feeling woozy and all. Some kind of flu virus that i contracted, it’s one crazy bug, had fever, sore throat, running-nose, headache, cough. I was totally knocked up, almost got myself checked in to the hospital as my temperature was sky high 41ºc.

I almost thought i died, well, at least i hoped i would. I couldn’t take it, it’s wave after wave, non-stop, no matter how much medicine i took. Temperature finally went down yesterday, left a sore-coughing-throat and a running-nose to deal with. I scored a whopping 4-day mc, that’s my highest record so far.

I have to say, i’ve never felt more lonely than ever, it was hell (it in fact still feels a little like it). The shittiest part is, all you get are call/smses/emails about work, work, work! When i finally got to consciousness yesterday, my inbox had 16 emails relating to work. And i can’t tell them i am sick, because you know why? It’s just wrong to tell people you are sick when you have work to be done. Maybe that’s what i saw from the other examples of my friends. And what’s worse, helping a friend? Well, let’s make it plural? I finally asked myself, “WHY?”. Why should you? Why would you? I can’t imagine how painful it felt when i asked myself those questions.

I wish i can just throw my phone, get rid of my accounts(all sorts), leave this place, and never come back. Yeah, no excuses, no excuses.

I’m only human.

Make Studios - ART OF THE T “Mosaic Voices”

This is the video to Make Studio’s latest interactive installation, Mosaic Voices, done for this year’s Singapore Biennale. It also features Victor Low (The Observatory, ex-Concave Scream) on sound. I was there when they were just done setting up, i have to say on experience-wise, both the interaction and the sound complements each other really well, and the multi-user interaction is cool as well.

Check out the vid! :)
